This is the decision point on the Utah Olympic Park Development Agreement amendment.
Attend in person, join by Zoom, or call in to show community support for keeping the freestyle pool open during summer (June–September).

Our stance: We support responsible development at UOP and understand maintenance may be needed. Any required work should occur outside peak June–September months (or in short, well-noticed windows), while ensuring the pool stays open with equitable access for all Utah clubs.
Right now matters: County Council is the decision point. The most helpful thing you can do is email, call, and show up so Council members hear directly from the community.

FAQ

Are you against development at UOP?

No. We support responsible development and understand maintenance may be needed. We’re asking that any required work be scheduled outside peak June–September (or in short, well-noticed windows) and that access remain open and equitable for Utah clubs.

Can the hotel be built while the pool stays open?

Based on the developer’s public comments, yes — the pool does not need to close for hotel construction. We’re asking for this to be formalized as enforceable conditions in the Development Agreement amendment.

What can I do right now that helps the most?

1) Email County Council, 2) attend the Jan 28 public hearing, and 3) share the message to grow awareness. Start here: Take Action.
